AIWEIYA AWY-1000S R/C Flail Mower Hillside Test

Trying our new R/C flail mower on our hillside. Ran it for about 2 hours on half a tank of gas and cleared a LOT of brush from a hillside with a few too many steep ruts to be comfortable with brushhogging it. These are ruts left from our geothermal installation several years ago as the ground has settled around it, and it's left the field a bit awkward to mow.

Finally pulled the trigger and purchased a remote-control flail mower to handle it. Biggest tree it went through was a scrubby evergreen with a roughly 3-inch diameter trunk. Unbelievable power in this thing, and incredibly easy to control. Cleaned up the fenceline beautifully. Didn't slow down for hardly anything at all.

After it finally ran out of gas in the field, it had plenty of life in the battery to head back to the barn for a cleanup and refill. Love having an electric drive that is separate from the gas-powered flail mower portion.

Looking forward to trying this against invasive honeysuckle and stickerbush groves.

Maybe eventually putting some computer vision and plant species-identification on-board to help prioritize taking out invasive species...? :)
